SCHMETZ develops, produces and sells needles for industrial and household sewing machines. The machines for internal production are designed and produced in the company's own tool making and engineering division. The products are made of high quality metals that undergo meticulous material testing and are manufactured in a modern manufacturing process.
Service and Consulting
For the sewing industry and the hobby sector experienced consultantsare on hand help customers with all issues and problems relating to the sewing process. Current developments are overseen through cooperation with universities, institutes and the industry. The constant dialog with yarn and material producers, as well as sewing machine builders, also supports the continuous improvement of the company's own products and services, thus helping to optimize the sewing processing for the customers.
Numerous training programs, seminar events and sector-specific specialist publications, such as the industrial publication series "Sewing Focus" or the “Needle ABC" for household sewing machines, also offer varied and practice-oriented support.
