Cosmetic pads with 3D effect

In our last article, we showed you how you can sew reusable cosmetic pads from used textiles. Inspired by this, @maedebykasia provided us with an embroidery file that can be used to add cool 3D effects to the cosmetic pads. You can easily make them in the embroidery hoop, i.e. ITH ("In the Hoop").
With her step-by-step instructions, the embroidery process is as easy as with any other embroidery. You just have to make sure you use the right materials and follow the embroidery instructions exactly.
Here we go!
What you'll need
- Embroidery machine with a 10 cm x 10 cm embroidery hoop
- Different embroidery threads in your favorite colors
- Embroidery stabilizer: Avalon Ultra by Madeira or Super Solvy by Sulky
- Upper material: woven cotton, terry cloth or microfiber terry cloth
- Lower material: terry cloth, microfiber terry cloth
- Spray adhesive
- 3D embroidery foam, 3 mm thick, white (Bodybuilder by Madeira or Puffy by Sulky)
- Appliqué scissors
- SCHMETZ Black Super Universal Needle in size 80 or SCHMETZ Gold Embroidery Needle in size 75
